Yes, that's me and director Jessica Bickel-Barlow onstage talking to Amanda Palmer and Andrew O'Neill about The Squirrel Plays. The Fringe is nuts.
Our first week at Edinburgh Fringe has been all about learning how to DO the Fringe. It's the first time out for most of us, so we're all scrambling together to learn how to dance in a squirrel costume on the Royal Mile, how to buy a round of drinks before the queue to the next show suddenly migrates, how to teleport from South Bridge to Summerhall.
And how to jump in when one of your musical heroes asks for show recommendations on Twitter, and then invites you to DO something with her onstage that night at her secret gig.
Our performances at C Cubed are going well so far, with house sizes growing every night. And we're each running around trying to catch as much theatre as we can---empowering feminist disco (Glittery Clittery!) , murderous why-dunnits (Ladykiller!), and late-night sexy-escapade gig theatre (One Life Stand!)
My calves are turning into rocks and everyone here is friend-shaped. More to come!
